DTBST #192 Celebrate Labour Day

Here is another Dare To Be Sassy Thursday #192 Challenge the challenge for this week is to celebrate labour day and the theme for this is to create a project relating to a job/profession.

Here is my DT project.

The image I've used is Little Honey's Nurse Honey and coloured with alcohol pens to create this card I've added some clear acetate to the base card after I had embossed it with one of my A4 size embossing folders with a patchwork effect for the boarder I used a tonic boarder punch then added some red line supper sticky tape and applied some coordinating glitter to this.
After this was done I cut the image out with a spellbinder shape and mounted on top of another fancy spellbinder shape and mounted this onto the front of the acetate and finally cut out a smaller spellbinder shape to mount onto the back of the acetate to cover up my glue then added the greeting's.

finally thanks for stopping by.

Sun Kissed Fleur Border & Corner PreCut Set and the background again is another Heartfelt creation stamp called
Sun Kissed Fleur Background PreCut Set These stamps can also be purchased as part of a set with another couple of sets of stamps here is the link for these Sun Kissed Fleur Stamp Sets Multibuy

DTBST #191 ATC

Here is this weeks DTBST challenge its a very straight forward one this week as the theme is ATC  cards so create a card either ATC size or even a card incorporating ATC within it.

There is more information on this over on Sassy Studio Blog.

Here is what I've come up with for my DT creation again this is something I don't really have a talent for creating so please bare this in mind and be kind lol.

Ive created the ATC using my graphics programme my
craft artist professional 2 from Daisy Trail using my digi kits to select which papers I wanted to use to create a collage type effect then added the greeting within the same programme and highlighted the edges of the letters in white finally added Sweet Talk Sassy who I've coloured with alcohol pens to give me the finished result you see in the picture above.

Finally I hope you will join in with this weeks challenge and have fun.

Make It Crafty FB DT Call Out

I've made this to enter into the MIC FB DT Call Out I do love MIC images but do find them more of a challenge to colour so with practice practice who knows what my capabilities will be,this is yet another reason I love Zoe's Designs, because they push you to get creative and to just keep trying because even thou I love all her images there are some I would never have dared try to colour a while back but now with my ever improving confidence I've come back to MIC images and I'm loving them, just must remember to take it slowly and to colour a section at a time then move onto the next section rather than trying to do a area that is to big at once.

So to create this card I've cut some white super smooth card stock to 7"x 7" inked up a A4 size mask with Tim Holtz perfect medium ink placed onto my card on top of my plate for my ebosser machine and run through this machine to transfer the ink onto my card stock then added some cosmic shimmer purple embossing powder heated with my heat gun to set then added Tim Holtz Spun Sugar ink over the whole of the card which finished off my background.
Once this was done I cut out the fancy border from a spellbinders die called scalloped borders two using white card then again added some Tim Holtz Seedless Preserve ink to the cut out border which I've attached together in the middle as had to cut out 2 separate borders and stick together then trim the excess off once this was done I then added some
Crafters Companion Stick & Stay Spray Glue ( Red Can ) and sprinkled some clear extra fine glitter on top to create my own glitter card. I repeated this process for the spellbinder corners and greeting tab however I used purple card for this not white which has given me a slightly different colour for the contrast.

Anyway that's it from me for now so just need to say thankyou for stopping by and showing a interest in my post today, and to wish me luck for the DT Call I've got all my fingers and toes crossed eeeeek.

Finally I would like to wish everyone else who is applying for the FB MIC DT Call Good Luck.

New Baby Boy Mulberry Wood Image Card

I've made this A4 size new baby boy card using crafters companion Hunkydory Mulberry Wood card kit for a friend I used to work with that has just had her second baby boy.

I've created the greeting baby and nappie pin by using a metal
Marianne Creatables Baby And Nappy Pin Die and running through my die cutting machine then added some
And added some extra fine clear glitter on top to create my own glitter card this was repeated on the blue base mat layer on the card base as well as the mat layer under the mulberry wood topper. Finally the polka dot card is some hunkydory adorable scoreable that I then ran through a
I do hope that they will like it.

Thanks for looking.

Sugar Nellie Stamped Manga Girl #1 Image

Here is a 8x8 size card that I've created for
Crafting Musketeere Challenge #4 and to enter it into there DT call to have a chance of being selected to become a new member on there DT all exciting stuff.

Anyway here is my creation.

I used three different embossing folders from Crafters Companion to create the base background the matted layer with the buttons and the doily shape embossed with a dotty embossing folder after used my Martha Stewart doily circle punch which was cut at 6" and cut in half I then sanded all the raised embossed areas on all the various layers and mounted onto my card.

The image is Sugar Nellie stamp called Manga Girl #1 which I've coloured with my spectrum noire alcohol pens from Crafters Companion circle and fancy edge have been put through my ebosser and cut out then inked circle with Tim Holtz spun sugar ink for the fancy spellbinders die ive cut 4 out sprayed all with some of crafters companion Stick & Stay Spray Glue then added some clear fine glitter and the attached them individually around the circle die to give the glittery doily effect.

Finally as I said above im entering this into the crafting musketeers challenge and for the DT Application.
So here is a little bit about me I've been crafting now for around 7 years ever since I was getting divorced and its just grown from there so much so its taking over my front room lol, that having been said I've not looked back since and just love it and can't get enough of anything paper crafting you never get bored as there is always something new to try and as a crafter im quite versatile and love trying new things even if they usually go wrong at the beginning that's all part of the fun of it.
I've been lucky enough to be on sassy studio designs, design team since September 2012 which is the first ever DT I've been a part of but love every minute of it and it helped encourage me to design items that are out of your comfort zone.
Right think that is probable enough from me now but please do leave a message if you have any questions at all and I will be more than happy to answer them for you.

Have a good day everyone and good luck.

I cut centrer out using Labels Twenty-Eight and glued together.
To create the backing paper and greeting I used my Craft Artist Professional 2 from Daisy Trail and designed the paper.corners and lace boarder using various digi kits that I have purchased and downloaded into this very versatile programme.

Finally all that is left to say is hope you can join in with this challenge I would love to see what you all create.

Its a very sad time for me because I will miss her very much while at the same time be very happy for her and wish her all the best in her new job.

This has been created using a couple of  ornamental add on,s called Heartfelt Creations Holly Berry spellbinders die set, the embossed background is from one of the 8x8 embossing folders from

DTBST # 189 Get Krafty

Its time for a Dare To Be Sassy Thursday challenge and the theme for this weeks challenge is to Get Krafty which means you have to create something using/incorporating Kraft card/paper.

There are more details over at Sassy Studio Designs Blog.

Now here is My SSD DT creation.

I've gone for a steampunk style for this challenge which is really out of my comfort zone.
I created this using SSD Melefecent Pinup digi which you can get hold of along with loads of other digi images over at

I coloured her using a mixture of spectum noir alcohol pens from crafters companion and copic pens.
Then inked around the edges using one of the vintage Tim Holtz Distress ink pads and mounted onto some black card, for my background I used a mask which was inked up with perfect medium laid onto my card stock which was then run through my GC then added some cosmic shimmer black aurora embossing powder and heated it with a craft heat gun and mounted this and the digi image topper onto my base card.
Once this was all done I set about creating my greeting I used two spellbinder dies to create the greeting tile and the bracket and inked again with Tim Holtz Ink pads and added some bakers twine to the bracket and greeting and mounted onto my card to give you the finished result.

Just need to thank everyone for stopping by and hope this has inspired you to get creating I do love to see what everyone does with the theme and images available.

Coffee Sugar Nellie Card

Here is another Sugar Nellie card ive finished using the coffee morning stamp. this card has taken me the last couple of day as couldn't decide what to add to the bottom as everything I tried just didn't look right so after getting a lot of support and suggestions from my crafty friend on facebook this is what I decided on using the spellbinders blossom die.

The image has been coloured using my alcohol pens and cut out using one of the new spellbinders die called Captivating Squares, the fancy shaped edge I've created using another new spellbinders die called Scalloped Boarder Two,  both these dies where show cased at the CHA in Vegas recently and living in the UK myself and many others where privy to these and able to purchase them before the official release when they will be available to everyone but this wont be until end of August 2013 so I'm sorry its bit of a tease but you know what is coming and can look forward to getting hold of your own soon.

Finally thank you for stopping by and taking a look at my second ever card made using one of Sugar Nellie's stamps I'm loving using them so I would love for you to let me know what you think of the finished result both good or bad even what you may think could be done to improve it.

80's To The Max Blog Hop

Here at  Sassy Studio Designs we are having a blog hop today to celebrate the release of new 80's themed Digi's and as well as celebrating the release of these new digi's we are joining together with Corrosive Challenge Blog which means there are going to be some prizes up for grabs, all you will have to do is answer 5 trivia questions both on the SSD blog and Corrosive Challenge Blog and 1 winner will then be chosen from each blog above and win 4 images from this release.

One more thing there is another chance to win if you comment on my blog and the others because 1 random comment will be chosen from each to win one of SSD digi's exciting eh.

So come and join in with all the fun because you never know it could be you that wins, and if you have arrived here from Linda's Blog you are in the right place if not you don't want to be missing anything so please go back to the beginning and start at SSD Blog.

Here is my DT gate fold card created using the new Velma digi.  you will be able to get yours from Sassy Studio Designs Shop

I created the backing paper from
co ordinations card stock then embossed using a spellbinders
m bossibility numbers folder coloured Velma using alcohol pens and then cut her out using a square spellbinders die as well as the square frame from a new spellbinders die called Captivating Squares which where show cased at the CHA in Vegas  so isn't available until end of August 2013 so sorry bit of a tease.
The vine is a cheery lynn die I believe that ive placed in the 2 bottom corners left and right.

For the inside ive used the same coordinating card and embossed the purple again with the
M Bosibility spellbinders embossing folders then added some lace ribbon to the right of the centre piece and finally cut out the new fancy spellbinders square  as well as the plain square mounted ontop of each other then added to the card. final thing ive done is place some hook and loop to the over lap of the square topper on the front of this card to keep the card shut when closed.

Well think that is enough from me now just hope to see you on the hop have fun and good luck to each of you. now your next stop is Chris's Blog .

Sweet Pink Sugar Nellie Belle Card

Here is the first ever 6x6 size card I've made using belle stamp from
Sugar Nellie, I love her and the stamp stamped out perfectly first time.

I coloured her using my spectrum noire alcohol pens from
Crafters CompanionUk or if live in the USA from Crafters Companion US
then cut out using a rectangle spellbinders die followed by cutting the fancy rectangle die from spellbinders again to mount together and highlighted by adding some hand drawn dashes around the edge of the image as well as round the edge of the base card.

I just loved creating this card and would recommend Sugar Nellie Stamps to anyone very good quality and deeply etched  I'm sure that I will be using this stamp and the others I've purchased recently again and again just simple love them.
Anyway thanks for stopping by.
Im wishing you all a great Sunday with plenty of crafting.
