Artistic Inspirations Monotone Challenge

Here is another challenge by Artistic Inspirations  and there challenge for this week is monotone therefore you need to create/design something with a monotone theme.

There sponsor for this weeks challenge is Sassy Studio Designs so it would be great if you came along and join in with this weeks challenge I love to see all your creations.

Here is My SSD DT creation

The digi image I've used is Sassy Leia  I have coloured in her dress boots and gun using cosmic shimmer mica powders which is a first for me I used a water brush to mix the mica powder's into a paint. I then used my alcohol pens to colour her hair face arms and legs then cut her out to create the topper using one of my spellbinder dies and inked around the edges with my tim holtz black soot ink pad and to create the black matting layer I drawed around the outside of the spellbinders die and cut this out free hand to create the foe matting layer and then added some white dots around the edges and to the backing paper as well as the punched boarder just to help everything pop.

The backing paper I created using a mixture of my 2 graphics programme's one being Craft Artist Professional 2 and the other is My Craft Studio Elite with this graphics programme the programme is built into most of the design cds unless you are buying a click print and go cd so once you have downloaded the graphics programme within one of the design cds that's it you have the programme and any other cds you buy it wont download the programme again will just add the files and add updates if there are any. I love both my programmes as they both do different things and both have a place depending on what you are wanting to do as well as being easy to work your way round, both these programmes have been designed with the crafter in mind.

Right one last thing to let you know in order to get the sentiment onto my backing paper I designed the paper using my graphics programme and added the text to this changing the colour to white and picked a font style from the many choices available on my computer then just printed this out on my home printer.

Thanks for stopping by and taking the time to look at my blog post.

Hugs

Carrie
